Apron Strings

We went to see our Best McBesties' new house last weekend and I got a few pictures to show you all. Few only because Nat hasn't finished decorating yet and she's headed in such an awesome direction that I didn't want to show it only halfway done.
We arrived mid afternoon on Saturday and Nat had some delicious snacks set out for us. Which we completely devoured. We took a tour of the house, played with E, set up Bea's "clubhouse" and stared out the window at the view.
We went out for dinner then returned home, put the kiddos to bed and hung a bunch of stuff on the walls. With four people working it went a lot faster than we thought it would. So as soon as we were done the coffee and pie was on the table, the four of us gathered around just like usual. But then the most unusual thing happened. We stayed up talking until 2 in the morning. Now you must understand that Micah and I (the 'Cakesters' as we're affectionately known) are severe lightweights. We fall asleep on every movie night and usually bow out of coffee and pie nights somewhere around 11pm. So for us to make it to 2am and still be highly engaged in the conversation, (the only reason we went to bed at all was because we had to get up at 5 to get back to Menifee for our garage sale) was a mighty feat in itself! I can't think of a better way to christen the new house.
