Decisions, decisions

I have laid my insecurities and fears by the wayside and made a firm decision regarding my previous post "117 degrees." After some serious thoughtful consideration and talks with supportive gal pals and husband I have decided to participate in a figure competition to be held fall of 2010 (actual date pending). There is so much I'm still learning about training, fitness, and diet, but there is also so much I have already learned in just a short few months working with Jill and Harold. I have to confess that my reservations almost got the best of me, but the encouragement I received on the home front helped me over those hurdles. The next 12 months are going to be a long and treacherous journey I'm sure, but I'm determined to stay the course. If I were a more confident person, perhaps I would post a 'before' picture of myself...perhaps I still may. I've got two amazing trainers (Jill will actually be competing with me) by my side every day giving me confidence, and I just know that if I don't take this opportunity I will regret it. Carpe diem, right? Stay tuned for more of the life and times of Fitness Girl...

I'm preparing myself for you to no longer be fun. By that I mean not indulging in fun treats, enjoying new found recipes and well doing anything because you will be training 100 times a day... but as I already told you I'm in full support of this. I may laugh at times but will be your cheerleader nonetheless. sigh. but come next year you bet your A I will be in those stands cheering the loudest, so will Elsie!
