It's the eve of the event I wait so long for every year. Each year I start waiting earlier than the one before, and each year Christmas comes just as fast if not faster. The one thing I think about most on Christmas eve every year is "I wish it wasn't Christmas eve yet." It's true. The anticipation and preparation for Christmas are so much sweeter than the actual day. Ever since I was in high school, the magic of Christmas day has been diluted, but the wonder and promise of the preceding season has never lost its sparkle. This year was difficult for many reasons, but the anticipation still retained its allure. And now it's Christmas eve, the pinnacle of suspense. My favorite time.
Merry Christmas everyone.
